Hemiole

There are many elements that give Hemiole the highly impacting personality of an exclusive furniture piece: the nubuk leather inlays of its door fronts, the discreet base in copper and brass, the grain of zero gloss varnished Santos rosewood.

The leather inlay details freely revisit traditional cabinetry and inlay works by using a completely different material, one that confers tactile values to the furnishing element: hence the choice of a leather like nubuk, endowed with remarkable textural qualities and a most agreeable hand-feel.

The 45° corners conceal the thickness of the door fronts, causing the depth of the structure to disappear altogether, for an end result of remarkable formal purity, while some surprising details are also concealed inside the furniture piece: the door fronts are lined internally and the shelves are finished with a front leather insert, while the elegantly warm textural grain of Santos rosewood is a treat for the eye.

The metal base raises the element from the floor. In copper square tubing with brass cross sections, its visible welding reveals the authenticity of the materials. In fact, the characteristics of these two metals require the application of a special alloy which creates a contrasting colour at the joint, unlike less noble materials that are subsequently painted. The handle is a fine, almost unnoticeable detail, set between the door fronts to create a contrasting glimmer of light.
